The tourist airline market has grown a lot faster than the business travel market after the Covid pandemic. However, many of these bookings are not handled by local agencies but by global OTA or directly with the airlines. Bookings are made via GDS, directly with low cost carriers or via NDC. With more and more airlines moving to NDC in order to save GDS costs and offer true retailing, this gives the agencies the possibility to book tickets at a lower cost than via e.g. GDS. Agencies can often buy tickets between 15-50 EUR cheaper via NDC and add this to their profit margins per ticket.
All three sources, GDS, LCC, NDC (True 3in1) are available via the Symphony booking tool from AARON GROUP. With the new online booking tool and payment setup via Worldline, local and regional agencies now have the possibility to offer their customers full 3in1 airline content and other added services. Earlier, this was only available to global TMCs or agencies with deep development pockets and resources.

Do you offer “True 3in1”?
Today, there are three major sources of airline content and prices, that are required in order to serve the customers. (1) Global distribution Systems (GDS) mainly used by most travel agencies in the world, (2) Low Cost Carriers and (3) the new NDC (New Distribution Capability), where more and more airlines are moving to, in order to save on distribution costs. This combination of all three sources we call “True 3in1”.

Post sales work has traditionally been very manual and costly, without generating extra income. With our ATLAS data hub, that secures end-to-end data flow between new NDC booking tools and travel agency back-office systems, the agency can get a 100% no touch post sales operation hence lower the operational costs significantly.
